A speculative toolkit

As part of my MRes I developed a “speculative toolkit” of improvised tools.  These were used in a number of ways: as functioning tools in themselves; as communicative objects, to explain the idea of my project in workshops; and as performative objects.  Through interacting with them and using them, I found it was possible for others to grasp the possibility of making their own alterations and improvisations in the everyday tools and products of the designed world.
